Trade war, delays in creating strategic reserves, and regulatory lag are harming the sector.
Axel Blikstad, founding partner of the asset management firm B2V Crypto, says that the cryptocurrency market could gain momentum when the first states, such as Utah, begin to approve bitcoin reserves and legislation to regulate the market becomes a reality. “Republicans are very good at crypto, and stablecoin regulation will be the first problem to solve. Everything is happening in six months. To have something more concrete, it will be from July to August,” he predicts.
